A blue wool vest, worn by Russell Crowe as the character 'Javert' in the film, Les Miserables (2012), the sleeves vest with a high black collar embroidered to the front with fleur de lis, brass buttons. Accompanied by a letter from Russell Crowe stating his ownership. Provenance: Mr Russell Crowe, Sydney. This vest was part of my costume for Les Miserables (2012). The actual uniform had sleeves and a tail. When filming horse riding scenes in this costume, with a blue riding coat over the top, it was very uncomfortable so I asked the costume department to make a version that was only what you would see under the coat.'
