Large Chinese blue and white porcelain jar painted in14th century style depicting a robed monk seated in a chariot drawn by a tiger and a leopard accompanied by attendants among pine and willow trees, one carrying a banner bearing the characters Gui Gu, a peony scroll around the shoulder and a band of upright lappets enclosing emblems around the base, height 28 cm, depth 34 cm.
