A French electro-mechanical wall clock in mahogany case, glazed and hinged front door, circular brass framed dial with Arabic numerals and seconds hand. Dial signed 'A. Drevon, Lyon, Ato Electrique, Made in France'. Half-seconds pendulum with invar rod and cylindrical brass bob with curved magnet swinging through a fixed coil. A dummy coil is placed opposite the functioning coil for visual symmetry. Pendulum alignment guide doubles as a pendulum lock when rotated for use in transport, and angle brackets at lower case corners secure orientation when hung. Powered by a single D-cell in the rear of the case. Height 47 cm. c.1920.
