Deane Adams and Deane percussion double action only revolver in.44 calibre, complete in original case with original powder flask (adjustable), bullet mold, nipple wrench, turn screw, spare nipples in turned wood case, pewter oil bottle, Eley cap tin, Eley leather cap pouch. Case with label of Deane and Son. Case with escutcheon engraved 'Capt. L. Nicholson R.E.' General Sir Lothian Nicholson KCB. The gun was a gift to the then Captain Nicholson, went with him to the Crimean war & remained in his possession during his career to become Sir Lothian Nicholson KGB, Governor of Gibraltar.
