Sydney: An album of photographs of Sydney and surrounds, circa 1875 images attributed to Alexander Brodie, published by Jacob Richard Clarke (whose wetstamp shows through ofrom the verso of one print). Quarto, 290 x 250 mm, full contemporary blind-tooled morocco, silk lining papers, front paste-down with later owner's inscription, the album contains 56 albumen print photographs, the first 30 being scenes around Sydney Harbour, the remainder comprising city buildings, the Botanic Gardens, views of the Blue Moungtains and Martindale Station in the Upper Hunter. The majority with contemporary captions in ink beneath the image.
