Boer War - Castlemaine volunteers to the 1st Australian Contingent: 1901 Verey & Co photograph (image 14 x 21 cm) of 14 soldiers with Victorian Rifles insignia, in the original cardboard frame. (Attached to the reverse is a photocopy of another print of the photo entitled 'Castlemaine Militia Transvaal War October 1899' & identifying all members, including a very swarthy F Sampson who was apparently an Aborigine!)
