Slowman, John: Found Guilty of burgulary at the Central Criminal Court, London and transported for 14 years aboard the 'Anson' (departed 23rd Sept.1843, arrived at Vdl 4th Feb.1844): printed vellum document filled out in mss in various hands, being a complete record of the prisoner's physical description, periods in chain gangs and their locations, his various subsequent offences and sentences, the last entry being 29 Oct. 1850. It appears that his tendency to steal things continued even while he was a prisoner, his punishments including 'twelve months hard labour in chains'.
