A striking diamond set Prickly pear brooch, 18ct yellow and white gold, handcrafted as a large stylised Prickly pear, beautifully made as a series of staggered height and size oval and round discs, each with a rimmed edge of rough finish, some 'pods' unset and finished in textured gold, seven hammer grain set with fine quality diamonds, one set with a brilliant cut diamond of approximately 1.30ct, further embellished by 11 small diamonds claw set, completed with concealed bail and brooch pin, length 6.3 cm.
