A pair of Chinese Wucai ‘Dragon and Phoenix' bowls, mark and period of Daoguang, each of deep rounded form, the sides rising to an everted rim, the exterior painted with two dragons in pursuit of ‘Flaming pearls' alternating with two plunging phoenix, among scattered flowering stems, all below a border of the bajixiang, each 15 cm diameter.
