A rare Martin Bros. pottery lidded jar, the tall tapered square form base with a blue dominant salt glaze, vertical incised wavy detail, the heavily constructed domed lid with cylindrical section inserting into the base, the lid and base with incised maker's detail, the base 'Martin Ware Southhall. GB. 21.37'. Hair crack to base top rim.
