An archaic bronze ritual food vessel & cover, Dui, Eastern Zhou Dynasty, decorated with a band of S scrolls above a zigzag frieze of triangular shapes, each within concentric circles, the ovoid form stands on three ring shaped legs with hooked feet, the cover completing the form & decorated the same & cast with two circular handles near the waist, note: Dui are grain containers used in ancestral rituals, the cover is the same as the base when removed, height 33, diameter 30 cm
