Description:
A large celadon jade 'lotus' vase and cover, (3), the well hollowed pear-shaped body of oval section standing on a high splayed foot, carved in relief on either side with a lotus spray bearing a large single bloom amid scrolling foliate stems, all between a band of upright petals at the base and a ruyi -head border at the mouth, the neck flanked by two openwork chrysanthemum spray loop handles suspending loose rings, the domed cover with matching petal and ruyi -head borders surmounted by a multi-lobed knop, the stone of pale green tone with some brownish markings, fitted wood stand, (3), 31 cm high
