A mixed hardwood Ming-style corner-leg table, Tiaozhuo, 19th/20th century, the rectangular top inset with a flush panel within the mitred frame with moulded beaded edge, over a short waist and plain beaded apron joining the square section beaded-edge legs, supported by four S-shaped braces and terminating in hoof feet, the wood with dark painted finish apart from the top panel, 82 cm high, 148 cm long, 52.5 cm deep. Compare with a huanghuali table of this style dated to the Ming dynasty from the Mrs Chen Mengjia Collection illustrated by Wang Shixiang, Classic Chinese Furniture pl 98, p 152, and another dated to the Qing dynasty, sold Sotheby's New York, 16 September 2017, lot 118
