A pair of Chinese terracotta polo Players Tang Dynasty (618-906), each horse modelled in motion at full gallop with all four legs raised, the female rider mounted astride wearing a long sleeved robe with hair styled in a side swept topknot, her hands arranged as if to hold a polo stick, pigment decoration of red, green and black, supported by a perspex stand, the horse and rider, 46.5 cm & 43 cm respectively.
