Ten old trade pipes from Papua New Guinea, these were highly prized trade items in the early 20th century., European clay, Meacham & wood pipes were high status objects that the senior old men had and used. the two Meacham pipes in their custom made boxes were collected on the north Coast of New Guinea during World War I, Ex Ruth collection, length 8 - 27 cm
