A Nepalese gilt bronze lotus throne base, circa 15th century, the base is an unusually fine vignette of Buddhist devotion, a larger figure would have had its feet on the two prostrate Tantric four-armed figures which lie, their knees bent up and held with a meditation strap, two smaller donor figures kneel at their feet in a gesture of offering to the missing principal figure, each figure has an expressive face and posture, a small Vedic altar to the rear, 9 cm long
