A Chinese spinach jade circular box and cover, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), 18th century, of lotus form, the cover carved as a lotus pod, with circular nodes simulating seeds, encased by overlapping lotus petals to the box and cover in low relief, with a straight foot rim, with wooden stand, 9 cm diameter.
