A rare Temuka Ware porcelain sculpture of Pancho, the Mexican cartoon hawk in green glaze, modelled by T.N. Lovatt C.1948. Printed mark to base, small flake chip to one finger. Height 180. Note: in 'N.Z. Pottery' by Gail Henry 1999, page 74, ref. 'said to have been used only for colour trials and made in very small numbers (20-30)'.
