[William Pitt] a complete three volume set 'The life of the right Honourable William Pitt,' by Earl Stanhope (1879), pub. John Murray, Albemarle Street, London, bound by Hatchards 187 Piccadilly, printed by Spottiswoode & Co., new Street square and Parliament Street, with steel engravings and bandw illustrations, leather and cloth bound, stamped with gilt writing and decoration to each spine, marbled endpapers, volume III features a facsimile of Pitt's writing. Enscribed 'Drawing room case 6.2' to each, condition: some yellowing and foxing to papers, very readable and excellent condition considering age. Provenance: This set was kept in the drawing room of the McGaw family Manor in St Leonard's Forest, Sussex
