Early Colonial cedar cockbeaded 3 drawer chest of drawers on French feet with secondary timbers of huon pine & Baltic pine from the workshop of or in the style of Irish political convict & early NSW Cabinetmaker Lawrence Butler. Originally with reeded moulding around top (now missing). Dimensions: 81.3 cm wide, 52.7 cm deep, 88 cm high. Provenance: Swan Family, Rosewood Farm, Bagdad. This chest of drawers bears Remarkable Similarity to the attributed Lawrence Butler chest of drawers (formerly Lord McAlpine collection) featured in the November 2016 Article (by John Hawkins) of the Australiana magazine.
