A Sevres style porcelain and gilt bronze covered vase, late 19th century, in the Louis XVI manner, of ovoid form in cobalt blue and gilt with the domed cover, scrolling foliate handles, the reserve to the front depicting a young maiden, possibly Venus, frolicking with cherubs and the reverse with a classical building in landscape, raised on a slim flared support, resting on a gilt bronze shaped base, signed Poilevin, pseudo Sevres marks
