A limited edition sterling silver copy of Paul Revere's 'Liberty Bowl', commemorating the bi-centenary of the American War of Independence (1776-1781), mark for Times Newspapers Ltd, London, 1976, number 282 of 1776 copies produced, the deep sided ovoid body, bearing inscriptions and symbols honouring ninety-two members of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, who on June 30 1768 refused to rescind a letter they had circulated through the colonies protesting onerous taxes that were to be imposed on British commodities imported to America, 1343 gms, 28 cm diameter
