Ercole Barovier (1889-1974), 'Neolitici' glass vase, designed for Barovier and Tosa, Murano, 1954, the slender bottle form in opaque white glass through tones of beige to brown in eighteen vertical bands in strata formation, paper label to underside of base with item number 22984 and Made in Italy, 29 cm high. Provenance: Ercole Barovier. Private Collection, Sydney, acquired in 1960. Private Collection, Sydney, by descent from the above. Barovier and Toso has authenticated and confirmed the vase was made with the technique \xE4 caldo senza fusione (hot colouring without fusion), a technique patented by Ercole Barovier.
