An ivory okimono of an old man begging Meiji period, the bearded figure kneeling on the shaped base, his head raised looking up with a piercing gaze and mouth open as though talking, his right hand raised to accept a gift, the left resting on his left knee, wearing a close fitting cap, loose tunic over pantaloons and soft shoes, 14 cm high.
