A Vietnamese blue and white charger, 15th century, sturdily potted rising from a tapered foot to the shallow rounded sides with lipped everted rim, the centre of the interior painted with a large peony bloom within radiating spiky foliage in a medallion encircled around the cavetto with a stylised floral scroll between bands of lappets and classic foliate scrolls, the exterior with radiating lappets, the base with a chocolate-brown wash, 39 cm diameter
