A large celadon jade carving of a bixi, early 20th century, carved striding forward with head raised and mouth open revealing its sharp teeth, the long tail parted in looped coils over the hind quarters and a crest extending in coils over its back, the body carved in low relief with C-scrolls over the haunches, and long curls extending over the sides, the green stone with areas of opaque brownish suffusions and some white speckling, 33 cm long
