A Chinese blue and white bowl, Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (1644-1911), with a flared mouth rim, the interior centre with a flaming pearl circled by double rings. A band of wave pattern on the mouth rim, exterior with four dragons separated with four lotus. A under glazed flower mark within double ring to the base, 19 cm diameter, fitted old Japanese wood box with inscription of sixth year of Meiji (1887). Provenance: An old private Japanese collection.
