Rear Admiral Harold Bruce Farncomb RAN, Cb, DSO, Mvo naval box made by Moore, Scantlebury & Coote, with a velvet lining. Harold Farncomb was a senior officer in the Royal Australian Navy who served in the first & second World Wars. He was the first Australian-born officer to reach a flag rank. the Collins class submarine HMAS Farncomb is named in his honour.
