A fine quality 19th century French gilt bronze two-handled tazza by Henri Picard, modelled in the manner of a Grecian kylix (wine cup) relief decorated with flowers and leaves. Diameter 15 cm. Impressed maker's marks to base of foot. Picard, a Parisian based bronze founder and gilder, c.1831 – 1864, supplied services for the work on the apartments of the Emperor Napoleon III, now exhibited in the Louvre Museum, Paris.
