A large, rare and impressive German 19th century Berlin KPM porcelain exhibition urn vase and cover, the ornate ovoid body finely hand painted to the front with a formal garden setting including dancing figures, ladies-in-waiting and a musician; the reverse with an elaborate floral spray; all-over relief acanthus, rocaille, foliate and ribbon decoration. An ormolu mount allowing the body to swivel upon the pedestal, the conforming cover with sculpted roses surmounting. Height 88 cm, minor professional restoration, c.1880.
