Royal Doulton, a 'Kookaburra' series bowl, circa 1922, white earthenware bowl printed with a kookaburra perched on a branch on one side and a sprig of wattle on the other, stamped and underglaze blue: Royal Doulton mark in black, D4206, 23 cm diameter, Note, Wedgwood, Doulton and Worcester in particular designed and made series of wares mostly destined for the Australian market. These tablewares were sold by local retailers for example Sydney's Flavelle Bros, Feldheim Gotthelf & Co. and Anthony Horden. Australian firms often copied English designs, particularly those transfer-printed at Doulton.
