A 19th century French porcelain, enamel and gilt metal mounted jewellery box, the hinged circular cover inset with a miniature on ivory signed possibly H.B, showing the portrait of a young lady wearing a pearl necklace and period costume, her powdered hair tied back and adorned with a garland of roses, within a gilt metal border, opening to a circular bevelled mirror and white porcelain interior, the exterior decorated in blue enamel with applied foliate gilt metal swags, 16 cm diameter
