A pair of gilt metal mounted Sevres pattern covered vases signed Roberts, each raised on a shaped plinth and circular foot, the oviform body painted with gentleman and companions in a classical landscape, the reverse with a lake scene, within oval scrolling gilt cartouches, reserved on a bleu celeste ground, flanked by elaborate drop ring handles, surmounted by a conforming domed cover with a pine cone finial, printed blue interlaced L marks. Height 47 cm
