A boxwood figure of Liu Hai, Qing Dynasty, Qing Dynasty, 18th century, the cheerful immortal wearing his hair in long plaits, his arms crossed inside a pleated robe that is swept across his shoulders, a toad clinging to the upper end, with one leg supported on a pair of peaches attached to the robe where it is tied below the waist, lovely chestnut brown patina, 11.9 cm high.
