A south Indian bronze figure of Ardhanishvara, late Chola-early Vijaryanagar period, 14th century, finely cast in tribhanga standing sensuously on a lotus pedestal, the female side clad in a dhoti with rippling folds, sash, beaded necklaces and one round earring, the hair drawn up into a conical ushnisha, the two-armed male side clad in a short dhoti and belt with pendant beadwork, wearing a tiered headdress, 31.2 cm high.
