A Tibetan polychrome and gilt-wood Sutra cover, 15/16th-17th century, finely carved with a central figure of Buddha in teaching mudra, Amitayus holding a flask to his left and a four-armed Avalokitesvara to his right, surrounding the three deities are yogis and other deities, a continuous lotus scroll in gilt on a red lacquer ground bordering the central panel, 24 cm high, 67.5 cm wide.
