A rare parcel-gilt concave ink-cake, Kangxi period, 1695, with a central figure of a seated Buddha amongst clouds, with the sun and moon above, refering to the long inscription on the underside, where 'Life pertains to the moon and nature belongs to the sun.', dated on one side in relief 'Kangxi yi-hai nian dong yu' (33rd year of Kangxi, 1695), 9 cm high, 7 cm wide.
