A fine Khmer bronze figure of Maitreya, Lopburi style, Bayon period, late 12th-early 13th century, seated on a simple curved shallow base in Bhumisparsha mudra, wearing a feathered Crown, his hair drawn into a peaked chignon, eyes closed in meditation, the body covered in a smooth green patina. The base is open, revealing the core material, 23 cm high.
