A Japanese polychrome wood figure of Bishamonten, Kamakura period (1185-1333), the guardian figure of the north, in a wrathfull stance in full armour, his hair brushed back in flaming braids, the staring eyes inlaid in glass, traces of his original metal headdress and original pigment, including gilt, 40 cm high, fitted stand.
