A Superbly carved Chinese marble sculpture of a Bodhisattva, Tang Dynasty, 7th-8th century, the gently curved body draped in long elaborate robes and necklaces, the hair curled in a high chignon and the head tilted slightly downwards with a benevolent expression on the face, 38.3 cm high, fitted metal stand.
