A Nepalese stone Stele of Shakyamuni Buddha, 8th-9th century, well carved in high relief before an etched mandala, wearing a diaphanous robe, standing on a rock ledge, his hair in tight curls, with long pendulous earlobes, the details well defined, 50.5 cm high.
