Two large Burmese lacquered boxes, used for tobacco, betel nut & other Herbs, Pagan, circa 1920, one painted with courtly scenes, detailed and elaborate high walls with a King & his ministers, elephants decorate the tall sides of the inner base walls, the other with roundels painted with astrology animals & emblems, each of the boxes retain the original trays [8], height 22 cm, diameter 23 cm
