A late 18th century brass barrelled blunderbuss, the traditional flared barrel with bands of ornate scroll and floral decoration, old London proof and view marks, together with the maker's mark for Barber James. The lock with faint maker's mark, illegible, the walnut stock checkered at the wrist, good engraved iron furniture and trigger guard with pineapple finial, good old colour and patina, the stock barrel end and ramrod end of carved horn. Length 55 cm, no fire arms licence required.
