A Chinese carved bamboo 'fruits' snuff bottle, Qing dynasty, 1830-1920, 5.9 cm high. Provenance: Victoria private collection, acquired from Sydney L. Moss Ltd., London in 1986. It is rare to find bamboo snuff bottles in the form of fruit pods. See a very similar example in the Paul Braga Collection of Snuff Bottles, Bonhams Hong Kong, Lot 158, Sale 20524
