A Victorian silver gilt ewer, maker's mark Stephen Smith, London 1867 raised on a circular foot, the body of campana form decorated to each side with an applied cartouche depicting a semi-draped classical female and a winged putto within a beaded border, rising to a scroll handle with acanthus leaf base terminating in a dragon head, the flared tapering neck surmounted by a stepped hinged cover and a finial modelled after a knight's helmet, gilt wash interior, 794 grs.
