A Royal Worcester covered vase signed H.Ayrton, circa 1955, of baluster form raised on a circular gilt and relief moulded foot rising to further gadrooning, the body painted with a scene of peaches, grapes and leaves on a cream ground, the reverse showing a vignette of mulberries on an earthy bed, the lid with bun finial, the cover moulded and gilt with fanning pierce work, surmounted by a knopped and gadrooned spire finial, printed black factory mark and model number 1286. Height 26 cm
