Grima designed vintage amethyst diamond ring. A 1962c design by Andrew Grima of a natural crystal amethyst set to a freeform 18ct gold surmount. Accented by a 0.10ct diamond. Weight 21.1 grams stamped Grima & Hallmarked HJ&Co. History:- Andrew Grima, born Italy 1921. A London based Bond Street jeweller of renown. Hailed as one of the greatest post war jewellery designers of the 20th century. Winner of twelve de Beers diamond international Awards, Queens award winner for export in 1966. Held a Queens Royal Warrant Grima was well known as the designer to Royal patrons and celebrities through the mid 20th century.
