Surveyor to the N.Z. Co., Oct. 1843.' Dunedin and Canterbury have been added in the South Island and Taranaki in the North Island. In red outline colour with relief shown by hachures. At lower right corner of sheet: 'National Atlas - 33.' from: 'The National Atlas of Historical, Commercial and Political Geography.' The three main islands shown as New Ulster, New Munster and New Leinster, also included are the Maori names. Inserts show Port Nicholson, and Port Cooper and Port Levy by Capt. W.M.Smith.
