June Black (1909-2010) 'Longbod' pottery sculpture, the stylised figure of 13 individually sculpted and glazed sections wired articulately together, with six highlight coloured glaze pools., length 120 cm. Note: June Black exhibited Longbod works at the Centre Gallery Wellington c1960's together with Juliet Peter, Rita Angus, Roy Cowan, John Drawbridge, Jackie McDonald (Fahey) et al. At a time when domestic pottery was the norm, Black was producing large sculptural works produced from her small kiln.

Mirek Smisek (1925-2013) altered form cylinder vase with sculpted wavy body and pair of applied lug handles, shino lustre glaze . Incised to the base 'TE HORO 31.12.1996'. Impressed mark, height 20.5 cm. Note: At different times Mirek had said this was from his final firing at Te Horo (unlikely), it is probably that this was a New Year's gift for a friend or family member.

Len Castle (1924-2011) large and deep yellow sulphur bowl, graduated sulphur yellow glaze thinly applied to the exterior, becoming heavier towards the base. The yellow glaze inside is similarly applied so it is thinnest at the rim, gradually becoming heavier at the centre. Stamped potter's mark to the base with incised date 2009.
