An important Colonial walnut settle with lift up seat. The back panels are carved with two dragons facing each other, in the Jacobean style. Between these two panels is a mark carved in relief. The arms are heavily carved and decorated with sunflowers and palmettes in the Grecian style and the heavily ornate base is also carved with dragons and Jacobean style carving.
